I am a Grand Rapids, MI based doula who is here to support you during your birth! ​

I grew up in Northern Michigan and moved to Grand Rapids to attend college. I met my husband, we got married, and before our first wedding anniversary (by 3 days) had our firstborn son. We now have a total of 5 kids and it's been quite the journey (still is!).​

My journey to become a doula was deeply influenced by my own personal experiences with childbirth. I've experienced a range of birth scenarios, including two cesarean sections, two medicated vaginal births after cesarean (VBACs), and one unmedicated VBAC birth. After my initial cesarean sections, I felt a strong desire for a different birth experience. This led me to immerse myself in research about birth and VBAC options. With the knowledge I gained, I felt empowered to pursue a VBAC and was successful in achieving three vaginal births.

I am passionate about empowering other women to understand their options and feel supported in making the best choices for their own birth journeys. I'm here to support you as together we research, learn, and prepare for the birth you envision. My experiences ignited a passion within me to empower women and guide them towards positive birth outcomes. I'm proud to be a certified doula through the West Michigan Midwifery Institute, and I'm committed to providing compassionate and informed support to every woman I serve.
